I remember as a young boy, I was listening to the radio and there was a lyrics contest! For my younger readers, this was back in the days of dial-up internet, so you couldn't whip out your smartphone and pull the lyrics up to the song and call in; you actually had to KNOW the lyrics. Anyways, the song they used for the contest was a new song called "The Good Stuff" by this pretty well-known artist. I knew I had it! So, I tried calling into the radio station, but I couldn't get through. Then, as it happens sometimes, I second guessed myself and decided to look up the lyrics and call in. This was a big problem for me because as I mentioned earlier: dial-up internet. So, I endured the grating noises of the dial-up tones and waited a solid two minutes for the page to load with the lyrics after searching for it on AskJeeves (before Google was popular, we had a butler website, no joke). It was a lost cause by this point, but I was a kid! I jotted down the first verse and quickly disconnected so I start calling the radio station again. I didn't win. I did learn the lyrics to one of my favorite Kenny Chesney songs though, and this week, I covered it on my YouTube channel. Give it a listen, go back in time to what seemed like simpler times, and tell me some of your favorite memories from the early naughts! The Good Stuff - Kenny Chesney (Cover) Also, peep the new ring light I'm using! I love it, and once the rest of my setup comes in, I'll write a post about what all I use to make the YouTube and Facebook Live magic happen!
